(Edit: I love this character so much. Thank you, Peaches. 😊💜) Little does she know that I, as the listener, have wanted to be her little puppy boy boyfriend for several months. I wish that she had lied about being able to catch the bus at all. I could do some of the chores for her, and possibly receive headpats if I did a good enough job (although I would still do some of the chores because that's what I'd do if I lived with her (and because I also sinply like helping people). The listener both upset her and ruined a wonderful opportunity. I mean sure, my more shy nature would definitely come out with her teasing (my false confidence, which I can't easily turn off in a social setting, basically disappears in a 1-on-1 situation with someone whose opinion of me matters to me), but I suspect that she would have been able to convince me to stay. Even if only because I will probably miss the bus, I would give into my crush on her to briefly overcome my shyness and accept her offer. I would have wanted to the entire time, but I'm the type of guy who is terrified of making a single slip-up that could f**k up everything (autism is a bitch to live with).
