I'm no one to give you advice about your life obviously, but from the few things you shared with us, I think it's not selfish at all to cut ties with your parents and it could be very beneficial for your mental health. Please consider this decision seriously but do not feel bad for prioritizing your sanity after all that happened. 💙

Yknow, sometimes discarding their character & just taking the picture of nurture from your parents can be super helpful, regardless of how they are. Worrying about how emotional you appear, I feel like you're a real human being when you show emotion like that & it's very sweet. It's okay to show emotion c: Send lots of love to Grandad from us! I had to kick my parents out of my house due to substances coming into my home that I was not okay with. I still feel a bit guilty at times, but I knew letting that continue to happen would have been worse. You're a lot stronger than you say, and you have awesome people that support you as well.
