Hello, everyone!
I wanted to take a moment to share some updates about the changes I have planned for Patreon in the future, as well as the general release schedules for content.
First off, I want to address the lack of a major release over the past two months. The current project turned out to be far more ambitious than I initially anticipated for the timeframe I had in mind. The good news is that it's now being rendered, and once the sound work is complete, it will be ready for release!
That said, while many of you have been patient with delays (and I sincerely appreciate that), it’s unacceptable for me to fall short of delivering consistent monthly rewards. To address this, I have some changes planned starting in January:
Tier Adjustments:
I’m planning to reduce tier prices across the board to make my content more accessible and approachable. Along with this, I’ll rework the tiers to streamline everything and improve the experience for all supporters.
Shorter Early Access Windows:
I’ve noticed that some of my content has started to leak online, which is understandable given the current four-week early release schedule. This window is simply too long to lock content behind a paywall. To mitigate leaks and piracy, I will:
Eliminate the 3- and 4-week early access periods and the tiers associated with them.
Introduce a new, lower-priced tier for WIPs, images, mini-comics, and early access to animations.
Removal of Unused Perks:
Some perks, like "naming your own character," were underdeveloped and underutilized. These will be removed to keep things focused and meaningful for everyone.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from this project is the importance of balance. I don’t want to find myself stuck on something for months at a time without working on other content in between. So, here’s the plan:
I’ll still work on large, ambitious, community-voted projects.
To ensure consistent content delivery, I’ll also focus on creating shorter animation shorts each month. These smaller projects will provide regular rewards for supporters and give me a break while working on the bigger releases.
This compromise ensures that everyone who generously supports the platform gets what they’re entitled to, while still allowing me to pursue larger creative endeavors.
Thank You!
I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your incredible support. None of this would be possible without you, and it brings me so much joy to deliver quality content for you all to enjoy.
Lastly, for anyone who has pledged since I started working on the Makima animation: regardless of whether you’ve had to cancel your subscription for any reason, I’ll make sure that everyone who supported during this time receives the final animation.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as I work to improve this Patreon experience for everyone!
Much love to you all! <3
