Signed Bookplates

I was ignorant of the deadline and pre-ordered! May I still get a book plate?

Do we know when they are being mailed out? I remember signing up for it but cannot find an email about it. Just have one from when I signed up for your Patreon.

Related to this, I just found an email from Simon Element Marketing in my inbox. It confirms that the book plates are arriving later. Sadly, a few Amazon reviews suffered for the misunderstandings. Some folks believed the book plate would be included with the cookbook. Hopefully those folks will edit their reviews upon receiving the publisher's email.

Lol, it doesn't have to be a 'sequel', but a second book would be great. As for content, you could do whatever you haven't put in the current book. There is also indigenous North American, northern Europe/Sami, Icelandic, Greenlander, Finnish, and a multitude of different Slavic foods - just to get started. There's an endless buffet out there, awaiting your discovery. Whatever you come up with Max, it is going to be good. I have no doubt about that. Thanks again, Max. Take care and best wishes. :)

Yep. It'll come separately. The books come from the seller and the plate comes from the publisher. So glad you like the book! I'm really happy with how it turned out. And, while not a sequel, the publisher is pushing me for a second book, so I'm contemplating.

I literally just received your cookbook - also no bookplate, however, I now know to keep my eyes open for it. Maybe they'll send it through the postal service. Thank you so much for this. That being said, it's beautiful and, it's not just a cookbook, but a history book as well. I also love how compact it is - not over-sized, like some cookbooks. I am so happy for you, Max. It's been a wonderful journey, watching your channel grow and flourish. You've worked hard for this and I look forward to both the reading and the cooking. Have you considered a sequel yet?! :D Much congratulations to you.

Hi, Max! I just received your book today, and I am so excited to try some of the recipes! But unfortunately, I did not receive the bookplate even though I submitted my Amazon receipt on time. Is it coming separately, by chance?

I love stickers!!

I should probably make it clearer since, until a couple months ago, I didn't know either. It's basically a custom sticker the publisher produces to be affixed to a specific book (in this case, mine). That way, I can sign that and it can be sent to you rather than having to ship the entire book back and forth.

Hi Max. I pre-ordered through Amazon so, when I received my confirmation email, I just went to my order page, then to view/print order (where it says "print this page for your records", and saved that page as a pdf on my desktop, and then uploaded that as the receipt. I'm hoping that works. Anyway thank you so much for publishing this cookbook and for offering the autographed bookplates. They are a great idea and - a lot of signatures. I am so excited for this, and for your channel. What has it been now... four years? - If I did the math right of course. Math is not my strong suit, lol. Best wishes in everything, Max.

It should still work, but if for some reason it doesn't, let me know and I'll mail you one directly. The publisher runs the website so I'm not sure how flexible they are.

I ordered mine through Bookshop.org, but they don't give a non-browser receipt so I submitted a screenshot of my order number/"receipt". I hope that is okay since I would love to have a signed bookplate! Looking super forward to getting my hands on the book, it will arrive not long after I move into my new house!

Correct. You're all set if you've ordered through Changing Hands. And I would love to do Hamentaschen! I love them and they have some interesting history.

If we pre-ordered through Changing Hands we don't need to do anything else, correct? BTW the Robin Hood episode this week was really wonderful. I hope next year you can do a Purim-related one (I'd love to see hamentaschen) but I sadly don't have access to any old cookbooks telling about how to make them or I'd send it your way.
