Nearing animation completion! (Still have to do set design)
I think I figured out the best approach for the problems I was having with detail / obscuring. Quote will be a faint silhouette for the looping portion, but will pop in whenever he interacts.
I can also do a close-up in the corner as you can see, so you can still see the juicy bits while he's opaque.
Note that it looks blurry in this version--that's cause of some weird bug I found. The close-up is done by making a second branch of the animation and running it through an offset that runs into a cutter. Unfortunately, for stuff inside the animation, if a cutter is run at some point it turns it into a bitmap upon render, so it's rendered at its original small size so it gets pixelated when the offset zooms it in.
Tl;dr it's blurry cause the offset filter is zooming in a raster version, not a vector like it should.
I already figured out a workaround that'll solve that matter.

I wanna add in some panting for CB too. The final version will have a bit of padding so I can slip some dialog textboxes in--stuff of Quote being concerned when Curly comes-too, a dialog that shows power loss from overusing the machine, etc.
