I have been listening to Yuval Noah Harari on information. It is nieve to think just because valid, truthful information is available that people will gravitate to that information. Truthful and fictional information is not the same. In the sea of information, fiction (and disinformation) rises to the top. Truthful information sinks to the bottom. Searching for the truth is more costly, complicated, and unpleasant.
It takes a lot of work to understand truthful information. Just because truthful information is available does not mean much.

I did see a magahead complaining about the Greenland/Canada/Panama threats, saying that he doesn't see how that will make his groceries cheaper.

The grift is obvious: meme coins, Bible, cards. He's in it for himself and as a byproduct enriching and getting power over the super rich. We should blame the voters to a good extent. I link much of it back to Citizens United + social media for the disinformation. Keep up the good work!
