This is a fascinating and timely conversation. The rise of conspiracy theorists is so alarming. The distrust of expertise. The elimination of facts from belief systems. Group think, the destruction of civil discourse, the demand for instant gratification, the harassment of victims (Sandy Hook) and witnesses, it’s like watching the downfall of everything. Thank you for delving into such an important topic.

2025-07-21 23:40:49 +0000 UTCDr. John, thank you for talking about how we haven't processed and grieved the pandemic and the 2001 terrorist attacks. Your observations shed some much needed light on sadness and anger I've been carrying but for which I struggled to find a source. Your observations about those events and the relief I feel now that I have an understanding of what was so heavy and dark has led to some good conversations with my close friends who have had similar feelings. I hope your thoughts on this are a much needed healing ripple that will spread through the pond of this country and world. Thank you ❤️

2025-06-28 19:33:27 +0000 UTCThe part about grief actually made me cry. I appreciate the depth of your conversation - now and in many episodes before. Again and again I make the experience of listening to your podcast because the topic is interesting and exciting and then I find myself in the end walking out of that conversation with valuable things for my life. Thank you!

2025-06-25 21:13:49 +0000 UTCLooking back, on the last five or six years- I’ve experienced a grown son, with thyroid cancer, the Covid disaster, believing in the Covid shot- my husband nearly loosing his leg, with an autoimmune ( we didn’t know he had), until he got the vaccine and then a heart issue, we believe was brought on, by the vaccine, my 96 year old mom, with dementia moving in with us, for two years and the guilt, of her now, being in a care center- and, realizing how wrong my political views have been, my whole life and finally, the damage the Daybell crimes have done, to my religious beliefs——— no wonder, I want to stay in bed. 😞 I want to thank you, both- for the work you do. Your voices are so comforting and I’ve learned a lot.
