The making of Mermesii area - pt1

As you may know, I'm currently working on an ambitious game project based on my comics. What you see here is part of the process of creating the Land that will serve as a base for the city Mermesii and its surroundings. It is a vast area made of Karstic formations. This area will serve two functions:
Fistly, I have to blockout (greyboxing) the direct environment to serve as background for the upcoming Lila stand-alone story comics (because it happens in Mermesii). Having some buildings sketched-out and laid-out will help me a lot to design the backgrounds of the panels for consistency, this one is a top-priority.
Secondly, is to turn this area into playable a game zone, and will be part of my learning process on how to create a level with all its features. However, after I've blockout some building areas, I will need to design a proper layout of the city with its different districts, main avenues, architectures, etc (as a 2D concepts). I will swich back to the character creation tool I was working on. Once it's done, I will finally then take the time to create some props and asses to populate that land. That's my actual roadmap for the time being; there might be some hicups here and there along the way that might make me change.
Also attached to this post is a short capture of how it looks as of now with the temporary character pawn.
