Honestly i hope this ends with Hake going ballistic at Trout (for obvious reasons) because i think Trout really needs at least one of her loved ones to rip into her so she hopefully grasps how her severe lack of backbone destructively harms those around her, she's so immobilized by her fear she threw her brother's partner to her death (remember Trout told Sturgeons missions of swimming to that island off as she found it to risk cats dying so she 100% knows she just send Tusk to her death) just to save her skin. Wonderful writing as always, i want to shake her like a snowglobe.
