Even if he might feel upset, or confused, he doesnt instantly go down the route of "she ate our baby." It's so much more rational to come to the conclusion that- in the MANY hours she was left alone- she had Ray buried like she wanted him to be. But Gull is a racist wet blanket, so I'm not shocked.
