What I'm Working On #018

Hey!  I'm back with another quick update on how I've been spending my modding time this week.  I also wanted to mention that I'll be out of town for a couple days over the weekend, so I may not be the best at responding while I'm away.

Spinning Wheel

This week I textured the Spinning Wheel and got it set up in the game.  It functions a bit like a desk so you'll be able to slot different chairs to it.  Some people have asked what the purpose of a spinning wheel is, and it's to spin wool into yarn or thread!  🧵 With that in mind, I'm working on yarn and thread objects which can be used in crafting for Cross-Stitching and Knitting! 😊

Updates

As you saw, the Archery Hunting Update came out this week!  I spent a good chunk of time this week working on that and investigating bugs in other mods.  Since I've managed to work a bit ahead on mods for March, I plan on prioritizing updates for the remainder of February.  

I've started work on some changes to the Child Prodigies mod and making it compatible with all the other instrument mods.  Secret Occults is also due for an update, and I'm continuing to work on some script bugs in the Regency mod.  This is the sort of unsexy side of modding that's super important, but a little hard to show WIP pictures of because it's a lot of staring at code and trying to figure out what dumb mistake I made.  🙃

CAS Items

I also finished up some dress meshes I had been working on.  I really want to get better at this because I feel like it could be useful for future mods.  People have recommended knitting, and it could be useful for uniforms for the Regency mod, among other things!  

For anyone who's actually good at making CC, this is old news, but I spent some time figuring out how to retopologize meshes.  It's pretty obvious which one would work better in game when you see the difference in Blender - not perfect (it's still a bit gnarly around the bust) but obviously a lot better.

Ballet Mod

Once again, the focus was on continuing animations this week!  I admittedly didn't get as much done on this one because I was focusing on other things, but still chugging along. 😄 There's a couple new practice animations, but now I'm focusing on getting the routines done as soon as I can.  Next step is to create the barre and start working on those animations, too.
