His majesty has graced the village with his considerable presence, and thus we commence a week of festivities, beginning with the biannual tribute to King Arnold himself, a god among men! Verily, 'tis the highest honor to serve and be served! And aye, his strength is the strength of the Kingdom, and thus your sacrifice will mean the good of us all! Long live the King!
Lest we forget--three cheers for the eight strapping young men who have been chosen for his nourishment and pleasure! With six barrels of beer and even more to be brought from the cellar; the village thus awaits at King Arnold's every whim and desire. At noon, all are called to gather at the village square in observance of the coming spectacle: will he devour them all this year? Or shall he take some for his carnal pleasure? Or perhaps some will leave as captives, made to serve him in lands beyond?
