WIP An excursion to Lilliput

He'd been searching all day for the tiny people rumored to live on Lilliput, but not until he was back in his tent and 'unwinding' for the evening did he finally notice a speck moving across the map on his desk. A little man! Much smaller than he had ever expected. What if he'd been around them all day, going unnoticed as he stomped around the forest, carelessly smashing what he thought were merely ants?
As he looked down at the microscopic figure on his desk, he was flushed with embarrassment, wondering how many more little people watched him from the shadows, but as he considered his god like stature among them, another feeling came over him, and moving closer, he could barely contain his excitement for his new discovery.
