2025-04-24 16:07:51 +0000 UTCSadly I was Working the entire Easter Long weekend. 4 days, 55+ hours of work over 20 hours of paid overtime. why you may ask? Canada is Having a Federal Election, and those were the Advanced Polling days. I was an election worker. Good pay too. 20$ an hour, automatic time and a half after 8 hours bringing it to 30$, for approx 10 hours, AND on Good Friday and Easter Sunday? we started at time and a half and then got Stacked time at 8 hours bringing us to DOUBLE time. so I have around 10 hours of 40$ an hour. so I had 16 hours at 20$ an hour, 26 hours at 30$ an hour, and 10 hours at 40$ an hour. my paycheck from those 4 days is going to pay for my new Laptop... ALMOST by itself. so... yeah, while it sucks losing my Easter long Weekend... at least I was getting paid well for it.
