DEC UPDATE 1/2 (GAME UPDATE)

Woah it's almost the end of the year. A lot has happened jesus.

Me and my dev team have been hard grinding this prototype out. We've recently expanded upon a lot since last time, with a new main menu section (phone) and polishing out the VN area.

Right now the sections are organized like this

Main menu (bedroom) -> Main Floor (VN Area) -> Cashier

The cashier section where the gameplay loop happens is still getting it's bones in but I think we'll manage before the deadline

The story is spread out over one month, in 4 week stages. The plot is being restructured to be more seemless and more deep compared to the comic.

Still got issues with the perspective and the collision. Also still need to code in the NPC behaviour for this section of the game.

Main Floor (VN Section)

Currently the main floor is being reformatted to be more of an inperson pov rather than a security camera pov. We're 3D paralaxing the layout of the main floor so that the foreground midground and background move seperately within the perspective of the camera.

Three seperate areas on the main floor, the main convience store floor, the staff break room, and the toilet. All segmented off with a fog of war

NPCs will change locations every time with new dialogue

I'll be out of town when the prototype becomes available but I'm definitely excited to get a look at it. Thinking about the story as a whole there's a bunch of chapters where the story wasn't set at the store, so I'm curious how naturally you and your team will be able to fit those stories into the gameplay. Also, idk if you've already answered this question yet but how much of the story do you plan on adapting in this game? I imagine the demo/prototype won't have much but it'll still be a cool glimpse into things.
