JULY 2/2 Update: IWBTWR, Character Poll

Hi everyone! Welcome to the second June update!

I've been reseting myself after coming back from the states and I have a good flow going now, I've gotten back to work on IWBTWR and am going to have some other small projects on the side as well.

Also the collab with A-One went really well! I'm going to keep in contact with them as they seem very happy with the 3 Suwako illustrations I made for the MV.

Colored

Currently waitiing for the colored version of the comic to be finished off by Niko, but for now all the linework is done.

Zoey and Daisy have a very interesting dyamic because Daisy is the first borderline malicious character in full view in the story, however I also dont want her to be an outright villian. I still want her to have a geniune relationship with Zoey as her friend. It would be really stupid of Zoey to stick around Daisy if Daisy was just toxic all the time. So I'm going to try and find a line between "insufferable" and "quirky".

Daisy is also a character who is supposed to be a steryotipical "Kong Girl" or "Kong Princess", pretencious spoiled women who don't grow up because they are well off.

Daisy would totally buy all the Lalabubus

Zoey's storyline is going to slowly merge with the other "Here Be Sea Monsters" storyline, giving more context to her actions and fleshing her out using the color schemes I've been hinting at in the story.

"Here Be Sea Monsters" storyline is now extended to 4 chapters instead of 3, because I felt like a lot of the character's motivation would be rushed/missing if I stuck with the 3 page format.

It's going to be a big challenge merging both stories together in one cohesive narrative, but it's not fun doing the same regular old format like I've done before!

I will be going into more detail about the story's actual antagonist in the next update

There's going to be a lot of scuffed pacing for now. However I will come back after I finished everything and pad it out and trim it a bit. I just gotta have the story exist for now.

Charcter Poll:

I've been pretty happy with the character polls recently.

I'm considering having 2 character polls per month instead of 1! I'm gonna do a test run in September for 2 character polls and see if it goes well with my schedule.

I hope by having two character polls, there will be more of a varieity of characters being suggested for me. Like more men? Instead of the regular attractive woman. I sounds fun and it would help me be better at drawing males.

I havent been working on the IWBTWR animation since I came back from the states, however I'm planning on starting again next month.

I will have some more updates later down the line!
