This story is a winner of the latest patron idea submission poll. The prompt by Nicholas Feltner was:

College setting. Female human joins one of the sports clubs, figures the soccer team that seems to mostly have women of human and puazi seems a good fit. First practice and try out go great. One thing I struggled with is pacing of the Puazi descriptions. I opted to bring up how they look in detail when they become involved with Jolene, but that leaves them mostly featureless earlier. But the alternative was to frontload the story with a whole bunch of description dumps which is also not great. What do you think?

Also, Puazi don't really work without a visual component. I think I'll be adding an illustration to every single story I write about them. There's no way I can do their design justice with just prose.
