Directly linking to files

Hey people. I'm working on a system for bandwidth accounting so I can allow you to directly embed files in your websites / apps or wherever. The idea is that every registered pixeldrain user gets a monthly data cap which will only be used up when files are downloaded directly (without going through the download page). When the data has been used up people will still be asked to enter a captcha when downloading files, but as long as you stay under the cap downloads are unlimited.

You will receive 1 TB of monthly bandwidth per €2 pledged on Patreon. So 1 TB for the Pro subscription, 2 TB for €4, 4 TB for €8, etc. Your bandwidth usage will not reset on the first day of the month, but it's a rolling total. So bandwidth used today will be restored to your data cap after 30 days.

On your user page you can find how much bandwidth you have used (https://pixeldrain.com/user). Example:

The code for this change is pretty much finished, but I still need to do some work on the website to make it clear how to use this feature. Because direct downloads don't get counted as views your files will also not be renewed and may expire sooner. For this reason I am considering to disable file expiry for higher support tiers (€16+).

Due to the vacation season I don't have a lot of time to work on pixeldrain. More news will follow probably around the end of the month.

Yes, when you use the "DL all files" button each file in the zip will be counted separately as a regular download. I'll look into ways to make the errors messages more user friendly. Probably with a redirect or something.

Will it be possible to directly link to the file generated by "DL all files" button with this? You could do something similar to MediaFire and serve the download directly until the cap runs out, then fall back to the normal download page with an ad (it's an account-wide setting of the sharing user).
