Bloopers
Added 2024-09-11 16:24:35 +0000 UTCI love a good blooper reel. Gene Siskel used to say that bloopers are often far more interesting than the actual movies themselves. I tend to agree. What is your favorite blooper or blooper reel for a movie or tv show, and why?

2024-09-14 13:09:22 +0000 UTCWhen I need a pick me up, I love the bloopers from The Skeleton Twins. At the end of the day, it's literally just Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig doing bits together. Two of that SNL era's best, who are comedy soulmates, just doing stupid shit to make each other laugh. It's just pure joy. Also, Veep. Veep has some absolutely hilarious bloopers. My favorite has to be Sally Phillips and Stephen Fry (in Finnish and Georgian accents) making awkward sex noises off screen while Julia Louis Dreyfus is crying trying to hold it together.

2024-09-11 22:26:49 +0000 UTCHe also blames his Oscar loss on that blooper reel. That’s the main reason why I don’t think bloopers should be released without the consent of all actors involved

2024-09-11 21:40:28 +0000 UTCDef the Parks and Rec ones. I think people forget just how funny Chris Pratt used to be: https://youtu.be/hukMdQL-dv0?si=8vtM9BjNwrMQN7hB

2024-09-11 20:15:13 +0000 UTCI don't watch bloopers but I can easily tell you what my least favorite reel is. Being There with Peter Sellers. It plays them as soon as the end credits start which is so out of place given the subtle nature of the film especially the melancholic ending. It's an unfortunate coffee stain on an otherwise masterpiece.

2024-09-11 20:02:29 +0000 UTCI liked that period of time where Pixar made fake blooper reels that played during the end credits. Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc were my favourites

2024-09-11 19:39:15 +0000 UTCLiar Liar has a hilarious blooper reel at the end of the film. “I want to box those things like Sugar Ray Leonard.” 😂

2024-09-11 18:50:39 +0000 UTCI like the original Rush Hour but I don't care for the sequels. That being said I do think that the blooper reels for the trilogy are quite funny. I do think that Jackie Chan & Chris Tucker had great chemistry and it seemed like they at least had fun working on those movies.

2024-09-11 17:42:52 +0000 UTCCommunity has some great blooper/gag reels. Along the lines of your Rush Hour comment - a lot of Jackie Chan films have a blooper/stunt fail reel at the end which are mostly always good.

2024-09-11 17:27:27 +0000 UTCThe bloopers to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia are always consistently hilarious and just as funny as the show. A surprising amount of the dialogue and back and forth in the show is improvised, and seeing the cast go off the cuff and making each other laugh is extremely fun to watch :) There are also and TON of them every season.

2024-09-11 16:54:20 +0000 UTCI saw that one a lot too. For me Rush Hour 2 was a huge one. I have seen that blooper reel so many times. But I've only seen the film maybe once all the way though lol.

2024-09-11 16:49:00 +0000 UTCThe bloopers I distinctly remember watching over and over the most as a kid was for the first Pirates of the Caribbean, I think I’ve seen them more than the actual film lol. And it’s interesting that Gore Verbinski said there’s a remarkable amount of flubbed lines still in the film.
