Having seen the whole X Trilogy, Pearl is heads above the other two entries in the series. MaXXXine being based around real events just felt lazy to me. That being said, I loved Kevin Bacon’s sleazy, homicidal PI. But the whole religious cult thing felt very been there done that and done it better. Did enjoy the gore in the video store though.
