70K

Hey ya'll. As of now I'm about 100 subs away from 70K. I'll put up the usual Q&A for everybody else when the time comes. But I wanted to give you guys the opportunity to ask first. Feel free to ask me whatever you want, if you feel so inclined. If it's something unique, or something I haven't been asked often, I'm more likely to answer on cam. But I always give you guys the opportunity first. Thank you so much for being my special group of supporters. I love getting to know you, and I'm excited to hear more from you soon.

One of the many things I love about your channel is your refreshing honesty and your fearlessness in trampling sacred cows/calling out critical darling for their shortcomings. I have noticed though that you tend to be more deferential to older films from Holywood's "golden age". Are there directors or films from the 40s or 50s you think are grossly overrated or not worth the plaudits? Why?

As an aspiring cinephile I get the most value out of watching your reviews for older, classic films; they're a great accompaniment as I make my way through film history. I want to know why you seem to prioritize new releases. Do you have a harder time reviewing older films? Do you just prefer being timely? Congrats on 70k!

Have you ever had the final moments of a movie or show get ruined by the "up next" thumbnail on streaming services? For me the final seconds of a movie—when it cuts to black and credits roll—is like waking up from a dream. I really take in everything I watched in these moments, and the unwanted thumbnails cheapen the experience for me. As someone who’s clearly into vibes I’m curious if you feel the same way. Love your reviews!

What can I do to convince you to start exploring Indian cinema? :)

Couldn't have happened to a smarter and more humble person. If you could, what would you say or do to teach young people in this era full of selfish and pretentious snobs about being more honest and sincere?

If you had to choose between there being a great figure skating movie or a great MMA movie, which one would it be?

Congrats on 70k subs! I was wondering what your process is in creating film reviews. How do you write down your thoughts on a film before recording, and is there any advice you would give to people interested in making reviews?

Gornay

Congratulations! If you could go back in time and spend a single day/night doing anything you wished with a film maker or star who would you choose and what would you do?

Ross Skilton

are you a swiftie?

If you could live in the world of any movie, which would it be? (Poor Things for me)

As an artist, what's your perspective on AI generated art? Algorithmic plagiarism? Imminent threat to human creativity? New tool for imaginative expression? All three?

Matthew Ryder

Who are some of your favorite underrated music artists? Also, do you like going to concerts?

Henri J. Mertens

Dont you find it exhausting talking about movies and not doing enough hiking !!!

What is your favourite book to movie adaptation? Which of such movies in your view are more interesting, more compelling, or otherwise improve on the literary original?

Matthew Ryder

If you only had five filmmakers whose films you could watch for the rest of your life, whose films would you choose and why?
