May Movies

What movies in May are you guys looking forward to? What should we all be seeing? (and in my case, reviewing lol)

Comments

haha oh yes. I'll ask my assistant to see if I can get it penciled in

Deepfocuslens

Killers of the Flower Moon is getting its premiere at Cannes in May. I'm sure you can blog about it for us from your yacht on the French Riviera

Emerson B

It keeps comin up in my feed still have not seen it, however having just watched the trailer for it I was reminded of Enys Men which is quite new, cornish folk horror, shot to look like the 70's with actual retro cameras. Will watch both eventually. I will post a mini review

Simon

May’s the perfect time to go abroad. The weather’s usually great and you’re not really missing any movies coming out. Not that a movie release schedule should ever influence your decision to travel. But anyways, have fun!

I'm curious about Skinamarink. Know it?

Deepfocuslens

Sadly I haven't! But it's still on my list to see. I have a good friend that's been pestering me a bit about it. Just life caught up with me around its initial release. And due to the nature of all of this, if I miss it initially, it's rare I catch it...unless I get enough people asking about it. And...I am genuinely interested in Triangle of Sadness. Btw...welcome to patreon! Glad to have you here. :D

Deepfocuslens

lol...I'm well aware of Bert and Tom. No worries.

Deepfocuslens

:/ damn. Yeah, and I'll be in Europe when Master Gardener comes out. I'll try and review something while I'm there that's fitting, if I have some time. But a Paul Schraeder movies intrigues me. Fool's Paradise too seemed curious.

Deepfocuslens

Haha...oh lord. I worry about The Machine. But funny they actually went through with making it.

Deepfocuslens

sadly...I've never seen any of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. ><

Deepfocuslens

I am also going to watch the new version of the 3 musketeers, French language, worth a look

Simon

The beasts 2022 has been out a while but I just saw that, it's based on a true story, straw dogs in Spain?

Simon

Have you reviewed Triangle of Sadness? I'm new to the channel...so I might have missed if it you have.

It's looking like a pretty bare month, my top 3 - GotG3 The Machine Blood & Gold Maybe at some point – Unrest, R.M.N., Crater, Black Knight, Fool’s Paradise, Blackberry, The Master Gardener, The Cow Who Sang a Song into the Future, About My Father, Kandahar, You Hurt My Feelings.

Ross Skilton

idk how many episodes of 2 Bears 1 Cave you’ve seen but you gotta review The Machine - it comes out May 26 and it looks bananas. I’m so excited to see Bert Kreischer and Mark Hamill on screen together.

Jared Angcanan

I second Stephen’s pick: Paul Schrader’s Master Gardener. Schrader’s always interesting, even if his movies don’t always land. The only other movies I can think of are Guardians of the Galaxy Vol3, You Hurt My Feelings, and Charlie Day’s Fool’s Paradise, where he plays a mute man reminiscent of Chaplin and Keaton who gets caught up in present-day Hollywood. It’s also one of Ray Liotta’s last films.

The Master Gardener (May 19, Limited) - Paul Schraders new film. I wasn't the biggest fan of his last film The Card Counter but still will always be interested in what hes up to. Otherwise there isn't much to get excited about. I am curious about Bert Kreischer's long awaited movie "The Machine" (May 26) finally coming out. I dont expect it to be anything special just amused its actually happening and that Mark Hamill is playing his father.

Stephen

Oh man, literally the only thing coming out I have any active interest in is in the new Guardians of the Galaxy. Maybe that movie You Hurt My Feelings cause it was a Sandance darling and I like Julia Louis-Dreyfus. April is packed with stuff to check out so I guess maybe a break is a good thing.
