No cat in the cradle. No silver spoons.

The first try at implementing those new brushes I was talking about. It's suprising just how difficult it is to make a tree look believable in terms of lighting. I mentioned I'd been looking at Rhos' artwork for orientation and I know it's not immediately visible, but layering those leaves to look naturally illuminated is hard work >.O

Top panel still looks a little too much like a foggy day, but as always, it's a learning process. I'm sure I can make a sunny day too.

I've been up ad down on the productivity scale the last two months. Some days I feel immensely motivated to do stuff, others everything just feels hollow and pointless. I know all us creative types get that from time to time, but I have a feeling it's been increasing in a lot of ways ... probably the isolation beginning to wear on me, as much as I hate to admit that X3

What I mean by that is that I hate to admit isolation wearing on me, as I'm an incredibly introverted person who will very much prefer to keep people at arm's length through a screen, rather than interact in person 9 / 10. That's not to say I never ever want to meet people. I have close friends, many of them out of reach, who I would love to hang out with on a  more regular basis, but you get what I mean Xb

I mentioned before that there were artistic experiments going on. You'll notice the leaves in the first panel - that's a new brush I made for specifically that reason and I feel it works really, really well. Yes, I said it's too much of a foggy day, but I'm sure I can figure out how to apply it to a normal sunny day aswell.

I'm happy to report I didn't use a single prefab for this page. Bottom right Tobur was cut and adapted from a previous page to save a little bit of time, but I still had to fix and tweak a lot of stuff to make him look the way he does there.

Incidentally I completely forgot to upload that WIP I promissed you guys >.O

On that note also: back when I was still doing the comic in linework, I did a Marvin short of 10 pages. It was intended to be a filler comic some time around now to allow myself to take a break for a little while, but I've advanced so much artistically it looks horribly outdated (composition, as well as execution).

I was considering bringing it back up to spec and uploading it here as that "bonus content" that supposedly ecists for the higher tiers. I suppose my question is, would you like me to update the visuals before (which takes time), or would you rather I just upload it as is, as a filler for when I don't have a fresh page ready to go?

Music wise I listened to many different things while working on this, electronica, as well as bard style music. Just about everything was covered somewhere along the lines, so I can#t give you a real rundown, but just to name a few examples:

Celldweller and Blue Stahli were definitely there during the beginning phases. I'm naming them together because they're very similar in style and sound.

Dj Blyatman came in here and there, which I am somewhat ashamed of still 9_9

Bardcore (haha) which is played by several artists on youTube, so if you just put that keyword in, you'll come across a whole bunch of folks who do both originals and covers of popular music in a medieval fashion :3

Not a whole lot else to say right now. The world is pissing me off, but that's not exactly news, so wth.
