I did the math at one point. Assuming a diet of mice (which wouldn't happen, with foxes being omnivorous and needing some other kinds of intake too), even leaving out his first year of abstinence, Tobur would have had in excess of 10.000 individuals to feed a fox his size and weight "healthily". That's quite a lot of skeletons in the closet ... or, you know ...

I'd like to think this underlines without a doubt that Nele's been having a rather restless night, not an actual conversation with her dad, Luka, the undead marten and now a very mischievous Tobur ;3 Truth be told, it was a nice to get to draw and play with a version of Tobur a little more in line with Nele's actual expectations. How this influences her further development and what this will bring to her further interactions with her new fox friend will remain to be seen.

This page posed me with a few challenges in terms of pacing and effect work.

For one I had a decision to make about where the events of this page end and those of the next page start. Mostly I just wasn't sure about what would be appreciated in terms of uploads and the level of suspense I'd been building for the last couple' pages.

In the end I decided that, with it being pretty obvious by now that Nele was having a bad dream, this would do as a climax of the scene and also for a page-ender, giving the next few scenes a little room to breathe (haha).

I don't actually remember which bit of music I was listening to in particular while working on this page, but I'm guessing it was probably Hugo Kant's 'Out Of Time' Album, because I've been listening to it more often again lately - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1B4hAr3Ark

I'm thinking I may share these kind of background thoughts on page structure and artistic process here as an additional bonus, if that's something you guys have any sort of interest in.
