How do YOU use the generator?
Added 2021-04-16 04:53:00 +0000 UTCHi folks! In anticipation of the ENnies at the end of the month, I'm doing another interview with longtime support Duncan, who runs RandRoll. I'm curious to hear how people are using the generator- I've heard that it gets use as a solo RPG tool occasionally, and people also use it at the table for spur-of-the-moment towns, as well as using it as a starting point for fleshing out towns ahead of time. What parts do you use the most? How does it fit into your workflow?

I'm about to start using it for world-building and fleshing out areas for a Westmarch style sandbox campaign, would love to see additional cultures to help flesh out my world. Random Generators are king when making a large scale world come to life. More customization for the generators the better.
2021-05-05 02:29:44 +0000 UTCI use it for pre-planning. I find it particularly useful for merchants and familial relations that I likely wouldn't create otherwise.
