We got some funny updates this week, take a look:

VISUAL NOVEL IMPROVEMENTS
We add some new features to our novel mechanic to make sure the new script will work properly. First of all, meet the new universal prompt system. No more miss clicks on the "home" button and losing all progress in the chapter or the wardrobe. The second new feature is variables and conditions. Now we can store some property and use it later. For example characters' reactions to current Haru clothes or drunk level which is open new scenes depending on this property. Also, we made a basis for in-chapter saving by the checkpoints, but we'll probably not finish it with the new third chapter

PHYSICS!
Yep, now we have our own lightweight physics simulation, and it is breathtaking. We really wanted to take a break and switch to something other than filling the script with content, so over the weekend we gave birth to this. First of all, it looks nice. It jiggles even better as we fake the physics with our hands. No more spending hours tweaking and polishing animations to make them feel "physical". Right now it supports only X Y no-gravity springs, but then we'll add support for fixed axis joints, gravity, and some easy collision stuff. That was just a side project idea, but it didn't take long to implement so you will see new jiggle-wiggle boobies already in the new chapter. Other simulations like ears, or even bodies and body parts will come later in future updates
This technique is really inspiring us to give more control of characters' animations to the physics simulation. We can spend less time making animations and give you the control of scenes, so you will be feeling the impact of your actions. Leave a comment if you have an idea how we can use this surprisingly promising feature π
