Blood Infiltration - Preview PLUS Big Update!

Hi Everyone, 

So, for the 1st of March, I thought to give you a broader update regarding STTA and the Music.

Since I have not set any stretch goals during the last couple of months, I always felt: What would be the best target goal. In the end, I decided to do the following: I invested the money (Patreon + my own money) to get the Limiter and Compressor that Mick Gordon used to shape and master the Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal Soundtrack. 

Unfortunately, the Cali 76 TX-L is discontinued, and therefore it was hard to get a unit. I literally checked for months the internet to find the specific TX-L version. Mick used this unit to master the Doom soundtrack. The device was for the final gloss and punch and, according to Mick (see also source and link here), the Cali was an integral part and extremely important of the final sound for Doom Eternal / 2016.

Now I understand better why ... I was able to get my hands on a device. It wasn't cheap at all (I guess most of the stuff that Mick uses isn´t on a budget, so that´s life). However, I wanted to go a step further regarding the music that I create for you and I always felt that I need to get at least a few things that are inherently tied to Doom Sound. 

So what can I say? A true analog-style FET 1176 Compressor..with a special Lundahl Transformer ... what a sound that beast makes....that thing colors the sound in a way ... what I would call "expensive" and "fat". 

The last couple of days I started writing a new song, created a mix, and mastered the mix with the Cali. There is a learning curve to tame that beast. What I can say so far is the following: 

a). It colors the sound in a very distinctive way.  (literally by comparing the frequency curves from several doom Tracks and my rough master, you can literally visually see the similarities. They are striking. 

b). The glue and depth..is pretty much..no comparison to a digital compressor/plugins, whatsoever..they are not even..on the same planet. It is a completely different world. 

c). The punch and analog sound is just ridiculous. And I say: RIDICULOUS.

In the end, I am broken and will have some tap water and toast throughout the next 2 months. However, I don´t care, since this means everything to me and so, I hope you enjoy the new preview and piece. It is a rough master..so..bare in my mind that I still get to know the unit, right? :D

I need to learn to control it..not that it controls me..(it still does) :D
