NOW you hate Iris... you've hated her since the first episode. Harrison explained the Iris thing from the previous time. The tragedy had unlocked the feelings even deeper that just her finding out he had feelings for her all these years. My fist time watching the first season I liked Iris, but I didn't LOVE the idea of how clueless she was when it came to Barry. I Liked Eddie, but really didn't like the relationship he and Iris had. It was just too complicated. I liked Linda as a character, but NOT as Barry's girlfriend... it just never made any since to me. Your seeing it Iris doesn't see Barry the way he sees her, its a lot more complicated than than from my view. She's blinded... she has a hard time know her true feelings and how to access them. She had a guy she liked express himself to her and now she's trying to remain stable, but because of Barry's confession it has complicated things. It's not always about black and white, some times it's about the whole rainbow of colors. I like seeing ALL the colors and thing more positively when watching stuff for the first time... LOL! We may live in the same state and share a birth month I believe, but your glass is half empty and mine is half full. None the less it is interesting to watch these reactions and see where your heading. Openions and reactions are not always going to be the same, it would be boring otherwise... but I'm finding it more interesting that just like your Smallville reactions, I argue with you when you start talking crap. It was the same way with Chloe, I feel like I may have gone off at you a lot over her and the same for Iris and Laurel, however, they are 100% the same amount of like until the end end of their 2nd seasons, than I got lots of love heading in their directions. I mean, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about with Laurel. Characters grow big time in the Arrowverse... Laurel, Quinton, Sara, Oliver... Thea. That's one of my favorite parts of meeting new characters... watching what they grow into.

2021-05-14 04:32:12 +0000 UTCI get that you're not on board with the Barry and Iris train. A lot of people aren't (I mean it's not my opinion but I get it). However, I was really surprised that this made you "hate" Iris. At least the hatred for Lana, although I never shared it, I completely understood where it was coming from. Here, not really. For a moment, replace Barry, Eddie, and Iris with Clark, Whitney, and Lana from SV S1 (maybe 2). We know Clark had feelings for her ever since he was little and we know that Lana has a boyfriend. Yeah the bf can be a dick sometimes but he's a good person deep down and Lana was in love with him. Clark never told Lana how he felt when he had the chance and now she's with someone else. That's not her fault, it's his. If Clark spontaneously decided to confess his feelings in the midst of Lana and Whitney's relationship, Lana would probably have the same response as Iris. She'd be flattered and taken aback, and she'd probably let him down gently cause she's in a relationship. Even in the S4 finale, she reciprocated the affections even though she was just in a relationship with Jason because everything was going to sh*t. Even Chloe kissed Clark on Dark Thursday cause she never thought she'd have the chance but she didn't really want it to go anywhere even after it was over. Iris doesn't even know any of that happened. If she did, then maybe you'd have a point. All she knows is that Barry confessed his feelings out of nowhere and almost just expected her to feel the same and dump Eddie for him. Honestly, if I was in her position I might feel a bit insulted by that gesture.
