In fairness to Devlin though, that's not really how The Source works in the show. Of course we'll find out more later, but it is safe to say currently that The Source doesn't work by "possession" so to speak; once you become The Source, you are The Source. It's not a separate entity or consciousness. It is a state of being; The Source of All Evil. This is evidenced by mentions of previous incarnations of The Source. Moreover, it's not "the Balthazor part of Cole" that has "become" the Source. Balthazor doesn't exist. Cole is not half human anymore. He is/was fully human. It's not subjugation, it's more of a complete and inextricable merging. Cole is lying to her at the end, because Cole is the Source, and the Source is Cole. This does make Devlin wrong about his assumption that The Source would kill The Seer for doing what she did. He's not going to "come back" and kill her. The Source never went away. He's talking to her right now. The Seer has served every single Source, as she stated in this episode. She didn't destroy him. She saved him from being destroyed by The Hollow.

In fairness to Cole at the end the source part had complete control evidenced by his improved appearance. It's the Balthazar part of Cole that has become the source so once again his human half Cole is being subjugated. Cole just can't catch a break.

I agree pipers hair is fabulous. Also agree that her character development is amazing, comparing her to season 1 piper who was timid and shy its awesome how much she's grown. Ahh I cant believe how much closer you're getting to the end of this season
