February 2024 Monthly UPDATE

Hello! I've decided I want to start doing monthly updates and greetings to all my patrons here and let them know of plans I have and the status of art and such. 

I'll try breaking things down by category so it's easier to follow along.

2024 SO FAR

January has been fairly up and down for me. This month was apparently a month where I was getting LOTS of surprise charges from annual subscriptions I have (anti-virus, VPN, Nintendo subscription etc). So I'm actually extremely glad I made this month a sketching month where I could make little bits here and there to help pay for costs. It also allowed me to save up for a trip I'm taking at the beginning of February here to the UK for a week. I know I still owe some people sketches and I was HOPING to get to them all before I left, but I wasn't quick enough. I will work on the rest when I return and try to start some while over there. 

PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

I'm sure some of you have noticed I was doing quite a bit more comic last year. What with Pepper's comic, doing the Should I Get Sleepy series with Darkwitt, and opening comic commissions. 

Here's the thing. I REALLY love making comics. But the caveat to that is... they are a lot lot LOT of work! That last page of SIGS took me the ENTIRE month of November and didn't get finished until literally the last day. Also, the 2 comic commissions I took last year... BARELY even started them. And let's not forget my long seemingly forgotten baby Whenever They Catch You hasn't been updated in over a year. Doing commissions, making stickers, streaming, and sketching to keep up with bills and rent just doesn't give me any time to work on comics. And as of now, my Patreon following just isn't enough for me to go securely month to month yet. I want SO BAD to continue with Should I Get Sleepy and Whenever They Catch You. I've had so many people tell me that WTCY inspired them with their own art and fantasies. I really just can't stand tired of keeping you all waiting for what happens next in the story.

Therefore, I'm planning to look for a part-time position somewhere local to me. My roommate is helping me some potential openings and I'm updating my resume, but I'm really going to try to not be too picky. I just need something I go to no more than 3 times a week to help me work on my dream projects. 

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU GUYS?

It doesn't really mean much at all actually. The only thing, when and if I can secure a part-time job, is that I will probably take fewer commissions. Instead of the usual 5, it'll be more like 1-2. And I will be dropping the comic commissions altogether.

At least not until I can make enough on Patreon to support myself. 

UPCOMING NEW PATRON BENEFITS

I do want to show everyone who supports me here just how much your patronage means to me. So starting in MARCH, I'm going to be adding more benefits to tiers to include:

• 5% discount on commissions for High Hoof tiers
• Discounts for stickers
  - High Hoof ($5 tier): 1 Free sticker a month
  - Caprinequality ($10 Tier): 2 Free stickers a month
  - G.O.A.T ($20 tier): 4 Free stickers a month 

I'm also thinking of doing like Milestone rewards too. Like if you're in the GOAT or Caprinequality tier, and pledge a consecutive $300, you will automatically be entitled to a fully shaded 2 character, FULL BG commission from me. I dunno,  that's just an IDEA. It's not confirmed yet. I wanna have more time to think how I'd like to structure it. I might poke some folks here to see what they think of that.
