Based on him enjoying this format of episodes makes me think he would def enjoy NGE, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop etc.

The comedy makes it so you get attached to Nina and Alexander in such a short time, only for it to be ripped away just as quickly. The happiness and purity of a young child and her dog being taken away, by the one closest to them nonetheless, is just devastating. A brilliant but incredibly sad episode.
