Girls Planet 999 Episode 3 Reaction
Added 2021-08-21 00:32:07 +0000 UTCThis week felt like it took FOREVER waiting for Episode 3 to drop, but finally the glorious day of NOT PRODUCE is upon us once again. My favorite part of this episode was actually the dance battle to determine performance order! It was fun to see so many of the girls freestyle and interact in a fun spontaneous setting like that. (ALSO WTF CAI BING VS TZU LING BROKE MY BRAIN)
Of the 4 performances this week, it was very clear that both of the Yes or Yes teams did way better than the HYLT teams, which made me sad because I LOVE so many members of the HYLT Team 1. I do at least agree with which performance was better in both battles, but I feel very bad for both Jia and Kim Dayeon as I felt they performed very well even when the rest of their team was falling apart. When I was watching PRODUCE 48 I often disagreed with the winning team of these round battles, so I am hoping this trend of me liking the winners continues.

2023-06-06 02:34:05 +0000 UTCI think the difference is that it feels worse to be manipulated to hate someone you have no logical reason to hate. I know that personally, I came into GP999 really wanting to like every contestant so that's why I don't feel the need to psychologically battle against so called 'angel edits.' I already wanted to like everyone so if you tell me to like them I don't know why I would fight against it. If Mnet wants me to be hateful to hopeful talented young people just trying to live their dreams I know that is the opposite of how I want to view the contestants so that's why I view the two differently. Anyways thanks for being here and thanks for leaving a comment as well, I appreciate it ❤️

2023-06-06 02:13:16 +0000 UTCwatching this 2 years later cuz I love Kep1er and love finding old reactions to GP999...I do find it funny how peeps always complain about evil editing but are still very susceptible to Angel editing...so many of the peeps in the chat and the reactor eat up exactly who Mnet wants them to...interesting window in to the human psyche and how vulnerable it is even when you think you aren't being so

2023-06-06 02:06:17 +0000 UTCIn theory the judges in this will be less biased compared to Produce 48, where it was just a popularity contest instead of based on skill. Obviously mnet is paying the judges salaries so they aren't exactly neutral 3rd parties either. Although the popularity contest really hasn't gone away, the judges are just picking who wins and gets the voting benefit. Fans still control who gets eliminated via cell votes, so a popular person could have so many votes that they don't even need to win these performances to get the 2-3x benefit. For example Kai's sister has an insane amount of votes so she is essentially safe, even though it would be a miracle if her fiesta team won. So i wouldn't be surprised if people agree on who won each performance, but are still angry/surprised on who gets eliminated via voting.
