Stealth Suit Cap Comparison (LB vs PCB)

Well, yall knew I had to! Phoenix vs LifeBrick! An age old rivalry! Two giants of the custom community trapped in orbit together forever!

Now right off the bat, I’m gonna preface this by saying that Phoenix’s fig is over four years old by now, and was released well over two years prior to LifeBrick’s. So in a manner of speaking, this isn’t the most fair of comparisons.

The tech has changed, the community has changed, both of these brands have even changed a lot since these were both in production! However it’s still fascinating to look at what designers prioritize and have the capabilities to accomplish!

Up until today, PCB's Stealth Suit was still THE best version of this suit I had in my collection! In fact it was the only one any major brand had taken on, up until LB took a stab at it!

PCB’s fig certainly feels far more “Lego Like” in almost every way. From its smooth custom cowl and shield, to its lack of side-torso print and simplified linework. 

Honestly, I still love this figure quite a lot! In fact I think I might even like the leg design more than LifeBrick’s. LB may just have too much going on down there for the space it has available, while PCB didn’t over complicate things.

However PCB doesn't have fancy shoulder printing… or wrap around limb print… or a magnetic shield… or- Okay okay you get the idea. LB’s got more bells and whistles!

Oh and for those wondering, both helmets are extremely tight, and LB’s wouldn’t even fit properly onto PCB’s head 🤷🏻‍♂️

At the end of the day, I think PCB’s fig still holds up quite well! While it’s shield is still a bit lack luster, and it’s misaligned hand print still bugs me, everything else about it is surprisingly still solid! Especially those facial designs!

And how lucky am I to finally have both! Very cool stuff! :)
