The diverging canyon ahead hews the current in two, presenting an unavoidable choice to those who have dared this flow against the slower overland route. The sound of a waterfall ahead is almost masked by the rushing water against the cliffs, hinting at the perils of a rash selection.
Far overhead the observing custodian casts judgement on all who pass below, the unfailing gaze refusing to give any hint as to what lies beyond.
