"Fire burn and cauldron bubble" - W. Shakespeare (Patreon patrons receive 6 additional versions of this track)
Greetings Patrons,
I've been working on this piece on and off for a month or so. I kept coming back to it and re-orchestrating, re-working, removing sections, etc. The final result is pretty far from where I started, but it's also much better.
Witches' Dance is about wild magic, chaos, and sinister plotting. But it's all done with a gleam in in the eye and a wry smile. It might even be...fun?
Musically this orchestrated very traditionally, with the exception of a waterphone added for a bit of spookiness. Strings, woodwinds, brass, harp, harpsichord (a bit) and tuned/untuned percussion. The music only version would make a great all-purpose magical action type piece.
The ambience is a clearing in a forest, at midnight. A cauldron bubbles, witches incant, and magical energy zips around like that scene at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark (but with less face melting).
As this track is in Patreon exclusive sneak-peek mode, I've included the mixed-version (live on the site next week), as well as music-only, and ambience-only versions here. Additionally I created 2 'No Witches' versions which remove the spells and incantations, but leaves the cauldron, and 2 'No Witches - No Cauldron' version which should make you wonder why you're standing in the middle of the woods at midnight. I hope you find these useful additions.
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
