Greetings Patrons,
Here's a fun action track for low-key battles and skirmishes. As much as I like big epic battles, not all of them are. In this one you and your party are wandering through a frozen cavern when you're beset by a group of unruly mephits. Obviously, these are of the ice variety.
Musically, I'd say this could be used for almost anything upbeat. It pushes the pace and keeps things going, but as I mentioned, it's not epic. Pizzicato strings, lots of percussion, choir, and some well timed brass are added to live recorded guitars, autoharp, and djembe.
The ambience is cold winds, cave resonances and ice falls. The mephits fly about and say nasty things while casting various attacks on you. They're quite unpleasant.
As this track is in Patreon only sneak-peek mode, I've included the mixed version (live on the site next week), as well as ambience-only, and music-only versions. Additionally, I created 2 'No Mephits' versions for the empty ice-cavern experience, as well as 2 'No Attacks' versions which remove the mephits' spellcasting and vocalizations leaving just the wing noises. This might be useful if you're sneaking up on them!
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
