Greetings Patrons,
I was playing around with reverb recently. In particular, chaining a few different types together to see what combinations of sound I could get. Eventually I created this massive space that was fed by some shorter modulated reverbs. I thought it sounded like a cavernous stone interior, but warmer, and a bit...other.
Broken Pantheon is a massive, multi-level, stone structure with a huge amount of negative space in the interior. This space could have once housed the statue of a god, but now it's in ruins.
The ambience features interior winds howling around columns, rats, debris, lit braziers, whispered spirit vocals, and various distant clinks and clunks. The aforementioned reverb blurs and elongates everything in a lovely and eerie way.
The music here is mostly treated string drones morphed with bowed cymbals, low strings, some brass, a cimbalom, a synthesized zither thing and various orchestral metals and percussion.
As this track is in Patreon exclusive sneak-peek, I've included the mixed version (live on the site next week) as well as music-only, and ambience-only versions here. Additionally, I created two 'no whispers' versions for when your party inevitably purges the spirits.
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
