New Ambience: Orb of Doom

Greetings Patrons,

Let's just start with the title: My working title was "Slowly Rotating Sphere of Prophecy", which obviously wasn't going to fit on the website. I kept it that way as I worked because I wanted it to be a neutral sounding thing and not necessarily evil. At least - not capital-E Evil. The premise was a magical orb, bristling with energy, that had to be controlled by monks whose growls, chants and vocalizations kept it from getting out of control.

Yes, the title had to be shortened and I hesitatingly chose the word doom, because it has 4 letters. I mean, it could be doom-y, but it doesn't have to be. Remember, I always tell you not to get too attached to my names and descriptions. Use them how you want!

Musically, this has bendy, ruined synths, chattering live strings and piano over big drums and orchestral pulses. It could easily pass as sci-fi.

The ambience features the throbbing orb (ooh, missed title opportunity...), energy discharges, interior chamber noises, and monks.

As this track is in Patreon sneak-peek mode, I've included the mixed version (live on the site next week), as well as music-only, and ambience-only versions here. Additionally, I created 2 'no monks' versions (but Tim, how will the sphere maintain magical cohesion without the monks to control it? - That's because without the monks, it's now a sci-fi reactor! Or maybe it never even needed the monks!!). I hope you find these useful additions.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

I like this one. I hear it mostly as a sci fi track, when I don't look at the picture.
