Greetings Patrons,
Before anyone asks, yes, I do love the Ken Russel film "Lair of the White Worm". It's one of my favorite campy, low budget comedy/horror films!
This is not that. This wyrm isn't campy, it's lying in wait for a group of deeply silly adventurers who are going to regret many of their life choices if they enter its domain. Coiled in the center of a large chamber, this massive wingless dragon is protecting something valuable. A pile of gold? A clutch of eggs? A soufflé recipe?
The music here is full-on ominous. It's dangerous. Lots of heavily effected orchestral instruments blended with synthesizers to create a hybrid, tension-filled underscore. I think it would work equally well in sci-fi and horror scenarios.
The ambience is cavernous wind, rock fall and of course, the wyrm. Coiling and uncoiling it's massive body it groans, hisses, slithers and encircles.
As this track is in Patreon sneak-peek, I've included the mixed version (live on the site next week), as well as music-only, and ambience-only versions here, for patrons. Additionally, I've created two 'No Wyrm' versions which remove the beastie and leave you with an empty (?) cavern.
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
Rob Leonard
