SoundPad: Age of Sail (Remastered)

Greetings Patrons,

I'm continuing to remaster these early SoundPads, and making them available as Patreon exclusive downloads.

Please don't share these files. They are for you, dear patrons, and you alone!

The website versions will most likely stay as they are for the time being, but these re-mastered audio files are of higher quality than what appears online (bandwidth/cost issues) and have been tweaked to the standards of the later SoundPads.

The format for these will be .ogg as it's superior to mp3 for looping purposes as well as quality/file size considerations.

As with most Patreon content, the simplest way to access it is via the Tabletop Audio website. As each SoundPad is remastered, a "Download on Patreon" button will appear on the page. That link will take you to the appropriate post.

If there are any Multi-part sounds (denoted by the x2, x4, etc on the website), they will be split into individual sounds as they would require the SoundPad engine to play properly. e.g.

Additionally, the files have all been renamed with a more consistent naming convention and id3 tags have been added.

---

Age of Sail was originally released on March 1st, 2016 as a nautical simulator for naval, pirate or merchant based adventures.

It featured 28 utility sounds and 3 musical tracks. You could simulate different speeds by varying wind and wake, fire broadsides, take damage or go below decks and work the bilge pumps.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

I was hoping for something for Android actually; that's what I use during my sessions

I'm not very familiar with local soundboard apps honestly. Perhaps someone else can chime in? It would be great to get a few recommendations for mac / win. - Tim

Can you remind me what app you recommend to layer these files? I use AIMP for playing your normal releases, but want to preload some combos of the Soundpads.

I love, love, love playing with these boards. So inspiring!

Awesome! Thanks!

There is a .zip file attached to this post.

will we be getting this as the individual files?

Magebrush

Hmm, one of my main motivations for the remaster project was to fix the original, terrible file naming. I hope this new convention will make things easier moving forward.

Tabletop Audio

Is it possible to keep the file naming the same as the originals so it doesn't break any links? I use Automated Animations to link all the sound effects and weapon effects.
