Edit: I added an mp3 version of the loop file. You should only use this one if your player/device can't play .ogg files. Caveat: it may not loop as well. - Tim
Greetings Patrons,
I know the title is fairly specific to D&D, but this is really just a peaceful, downtime ambience. You're not always slaying monsters or creeping around castles and dungeons. Long Rest is for the ends of those days. It's a respite from the dangerous world you're exploring.
It can also just be nighttime in a forest, around a campfire. There may be some strange things lurking out of sight, but I don't think there's much to worry about. It's probably nothing. Keep the weapons nearby just in case?
As this track is in sneak-peek mode, I've included the mixed version, as well as music-only and ambience-only versions here for patrons. Additionally, I couldn't decide if the camp should be by a lake or not so I made a mixed and ambience-only version with a subtle lake ambience.
Occasionally, I pull out simple musical sections from ambiences that are short, seamless loops that may be useful as drop-ins or quick interludes. I only do this when I come across something that clicks with me and might make a decent loop. For this, I chose a quiet section which worked well. (I use .ogg format for loops as .mp3 tends to add a bit of silence to the start of the file.)
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
