New Ambience: Descent

I considered calling this track "50 feet of Rope". I also considered never telling anyone that. But, here we are!
Descent is an adventure/mystery/tension/what-have-you type of track. I tried to create something that was intriguing, rather than scary. Daring, rather than dangerous. These are subtle distinctions, I know.
The scene is an intrepid climber, laden with adventuring gear, descending down a rope into the darkness below. There are cave sounds, a few startled bats, some falling rocks and scree, and the twisting and tightening of the rope.
I created this as a fantasy track, but as the image above shows, it could work equally well as a modern/sci-fi ambience as well.
Musically there's a lot of John Williams' DNA in this. Wistful choir, insistent xylophones, chattering muted brass, and aleatoric strings.
As this track is in Patreon-only sneak-peek mode (live on the site in a couple of weeks) I've attached the mixed-version, as well as ambience-only and music-only versions here. Additionally, I created a mixed-version and an ambience-only version without the climber (gear and rope sounds). This retains the environment sounds i.e. the cave winds, bats, and debris. I hope you find these useful.
A quick housekeeping note - I'm taking off next week to go on a short trip with my family (including dropping my son off at university). I'll be back the following week.

Great tracks. Like that you made another without the climber. That one we can use after he has climbed into the cave :)
