Greetings Patrons,
Here is another one of my liminal spaces ambiences. This track centers around a busy dock where workers are loading a ship in preparation for a long voyage. The sounds are of ropes hoisting, carts arriving with produce, livestock, and fresh water. As the workers prepare the ship there is a sense of excitement and adventure in the air.
Musically this has a dash of excitement and even a bit of magic. I wanted to describe that slightly giddy feeling of anticipation before taking off on an adventure. It's a classic arrangement for string orchestra. French horn, percussion, harp, flute, and cor anglais were added for some extra fairy dusting.
As this track is in Patreon-only sneak-peek mode, I've included the mixed-version (live on the site next week) as well as music-only, and ambience-only versions here for patrons. Additionally, I've included two 'underway' versions which make this an actual travel piece. I felt that the feeling of giddy excitement could easily transfer to onboard with the wind at your back.
I think the music-only version would work well for the beginning of adventures, general exposition, or arrivals at important destinations.
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
p.s. Once again, I forgot to include the id3 tags in last week's Rise of the Golem. I have re-uploaded those files with the appropriate tags. Here's a quick link to that post.
