New Ambience: Spirit of the Plains

Greetings Patrons,

After last week's dark action track, I thought I'd do something a bit more atmospheric. Once again, I've chosen an image by one of my favorite fantasy artists Grandfailure as the basis for the score.

Spirit of the Plains is a bit of Miyazaki and maybe even a bit of Ridley Scott. There's a massive deer god/spirit and there are massive floating rocks and for some reason, there's a little girl. There's definitely a story here.

Musically this is quite floating and ambient. Lots of treated strings, quick stabs of accented tremolo, and meandering pads. I even played a bit of guitar.

The ambience features some actual roaring stags that, apart from some reverb and eq to make them seem bigger, are mostly unedited.

As this is in patron-only sneak-peek mode, I've attached the mixed track (live on the site next week) as well as ambience-only and music-only versions. Additionally, I created 'no spirit' versions of both the mixed and ambience-only tracks which removes the stag vocalizations. I hope you find these useful.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

This one I keep coming back to. You've done a lot of subtle, good things in this piece. I think I can use it for a memorable scene in an RPG.

Moving and spiritual; I'll use the No Spirit version for some epic interludes.
