Greetings Patrons,
This weeks' ambience is Black Rider, my take on the infamous Nazgûl from the Lord of the Rings. This is a high-octane chase/action track but it has some ebb and flow to it as well. I liked that the Black Rider seems to both approach, stalk, and chase its prey.
As this track is in patron-only sneak-peek mode, I've attached the mixed version of this track (live on the site next week) as well as ambience-only, and music-only versions here for patrons.
Additionally, I created 2 No Horse versions to give it a bit more utility. Perhaps the rider is unmounted or is a different entity altogether. The shrieking (I left that in all versions) is courtesy of the wonderful Aztec death whistle.
Musically, this is fairly traditional orchestration. Lots of low brass, low strings and low woodwinds. The high strings go from melodic to atonal as the tension mounts and, there's a decent denouement before everything ramps up again. I think this would work well as a utility action/chase soundtrack across lots of genres. I hope this finds its way into your stories.
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
