Greetings Patrons,
A recent request for an 'elven celebration' stuck in my head and refused to leave. As you may know, I write down every request I get on an ever-growing list. I refer to this if I'm stuck for ideas or just want some inspiration. This request, however, I couldn't shake. And I think the reason for it was that it really begged the question: Do elves party? And if they do, how do they do it?
I'm basing this on classic fantasy where elves are stately (snooty?) and demure. As I tried to imagine what this type of elf bash looked like I got more and more confused. But then I remembered the scene in Fellowship of the Rings where Sam and Frodo watch the wood elves marching out of Middle Earth. Maybe this was an elven celebration? I ended up going with the idea that a party to an elf doesn't look like a party to an outsider.
Elven Procession is a subdued, yet joyous cortege through a forest. It's peaceful but uplifting at the same time.
As this track is in Patron-only sneak-peek mode. I've attached the mixed-version (this will be live on the site next week), as well as music-only and ambience-only versions here. Additionally, I created a second mixed track with a different soundtrack. I refer to that as the distant version. The idea was that a magical sound from far away wafts on the breeze and makes you want to get closer. I hope you find these useful.
One final thing:
I noticed some unintentional digital artifacts in last week's Tinkertown track. I've updated those files (just the ones with music, the ambience-only tracks are fine) so if you downloaded those, please replace them with the new ones. They are on the original Tinkertown post here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/75306009
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
