Greetings Patrons,
I can hardly believe it, this is the 30th installment in the SoundPad series. I still remember working on SoundPad #1, The Dungeon, like it was yesterday. I started working on Atlantis a few weeks ago. I had already done an underwater-themed SoundPad, Deep Six, but that was a more modern take on an underwater adventure. I felt that there was room for something more fantasy-oriented.
Atlantis, like all SoundPads was a puzzle to put together. Finding 40 sounds that work together in a cohesive manner, and which describe a large number of environments and scenarios in an economical way is always a challenge. At the same time, I'm thinking of the larger picture, which is the Custom SoundPad. Can these sounds add utility and options to that collection? I hope the answer is yes.
This SoundPad is in patron-only sneak-peek mode. The link (below) is not in any of the menus yet. Please don't share/post it online until I announce it to the public. Sharing with your immediate gaming group is fine of course.
For Foundry users, I've sent this off to Moulinette so that should appear in the next few days. Also, I'll add these sounds to the Custom SoundPad by this weekend.
Finally, I've attached a zip file of the sounds here. The multi-part (x2, x4) sounds have been split into individual items, so there are 49 sounds instead of 40. Additionally, these are higher quality files than the website version, where I have to be very economical with file sizes.
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
ps. I thought the 2 new trap sounds made sense to sneak into both The Dungeon and Combat SoundPads.
