Greetings Patrons,
Here's a slightly less-than-epic battle piece that reminded me of playing the D&D 5e box-set with my kids. In it, one of the first encounters the party has to deal with is an ambush by a band of goblins.
I do like making battle-type tracks but every time I do, I'm reminded of how many moving parts they have. Musically, they have to be driving and interesting, without being distracting. Ambience-wise, the same thing. Some basic mayhem and tumult in the background without overwhelming. Production note: my voice is raw from all the vocal takes!
But, I think it came out nicely! As this is in sneak-peek mode for Patrons, I've included the mixed-version (which will be on the site next week) as well as music-only, and ambience-only versions. To make this more flexible, I also added a few goblin-free versions. So there's a mixed-track without goblins (this won't be as evident until the quieter sections), also an ambience-only version without goblins. This one is pretty sparse, but it may make sense as an underlay for generic skirmishes.
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
