New Ambience: Gravity

Greetings Patrons,

I was re-watching the movie Gravity this week. Can you tell? I must say, I didn't love it the first time and my opinion wasn't really changed much this time either, although I will say that the first 40 minutes or so are really very good. And then, there's the music by Stephen Price, which I thought perfectly accentuated the images and the mood in that long opening sequence.

I decided to try my hand at a similar style of musical track, something ominous with slow builds into tension and then back again. In keeping with the hybrid nature of the score I combined synths with processed orchestral accents and even added some live effected violin as well.

I'd say this was a gritty sci-fi track but it would also work quite well as cyberpunk underscore or even modern, terrestrial games. Or, you know, pretty much anything can be a Cthulhu track so just ignore the title and use it however you want!

As I often do with tracks that contain no ambient elements to separate out, I've included a higher bitrate mp3 track here for patorns.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

I know it's a bit of a pain but I'm really trying to keep the site as simple as possible with no tiers. I've asked Patreon about making a kind of 'digital locker' where I can store all the extra content but I may need to bug them again :) - Tim

Awesome :) I know it's not doable now, but any chance in the future there'd be a login feature on the site so these show up as options when you log in (instead of having to grab them from Patreon)?

I really like this one too.

Hector Trelane

I love this.

Well done! I love the waves of tension with slow release instead of dramatic beat the game will likely not hit.
