New Ambience: Waterkeep

Greetings Patrons,

I'm off for the holidays tomorrow but I wanted to leave you all something before I left. (I'll be back in the studio January 2nd).

This is the gleaming city of Waterkeep, the jewel of the north. Yes, I changed the name slightly as I didn't want to poke the hornet's nest - although, honestly I can't imagine anyone having any issues with it. Anyway, I wanted to do something a little more elegant than Medieval Town. This is a hub of commerce and trade. Wealthy people and lords live here. There's hustle and bustle, maybe even a bit of magic -  but it all seems managed and clean. Perhaps it's the guards at every gate, or possibly the enormous white stone walls that keep out marauders and other unsavory elements.

I've created 3 versions of this track. The one on the site is the mixed ambience and music, which I think works well. I've uploaded 2 other versions for patrons: one is an ambience-only track and the other is a music-only track.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support. I will see you in 2019!

Best,

Tim

i love waterdeep music only! perfect to represent cities in campaigns. Do you have another ideas for great cities?

Sebastian Jenett

I managed to catch a couple of phrases in italian in the soundtrack: around 6:49 some says "mille novecento cinquanta lire" (1950 lire, the currency in use in Italy before the adoption of the Euro), and a little later "signora" (madam/lady); is it possible :) ?

Marco Bizzarri

Like them both

Best value in Patreon -- another immediately useful track. Going in tomorrows game. Jeepers, this is great stuff.

Nice one. And I especially appreciate that it comes in three versions. Have some really nice Holidays, Tim!

This'll come in handy when we get back to heisting dragons next year. Cheers!

Thanks for separating the ambience and music track. My daughters will love this. Happy Holidays!
